Recommended places to buy accessories

TNOC has put this list together with the sole intent of helping fellow owners buy and install accessories without getting cheated. This is purely based on personal experiences and member feedback. This is a non commercial information. These shops provide you a platform, where we assure you that you wont get cheated. Tips:

  1. Ensure price is inclusive of taxes

  2. Ensure the seller provides a bill with GST number mentioned. Non-GST bills are not honoured at service centre of most brands

  3. Get the total installation cost beforehand. Stress on the total cost.

  4. Enquire whether installation requires any additional items like wires. (Amplifier + subwoofer require an amplifier wiring kit. Good kits costs 2000/-)

  5. Plan for at least an hour more than the time they indicate to complete the installation.

  6. Ensure the dealer is having sufficient labour / staff for installation.

  7. Enquire and ascertain whether they have installed the same product on the same model of vehicle previously.

  8. Ask about warranty / guarantee of the product.

  9. Try to see and touch the product in person before closing a deal

  10. Ensure the seal is broken in front of you, to ensure the product is fresh & never installed.

  11. Ideally go market study / hunting / scouting on a day and schedule the installation on another day. Don't combine the same.

  12. Don't ask the shopkeeper for recommendations. Tell him the product you need and ask him the price.
